Tall ships and Tattoos

This weekend for Jason’s birthday we took a shop field trip to see the tall ships come in to Duluth. Duluth, MN is located on the Northern most point of The Great Lakes, on Lake Superior and is accessible to ocean-going vessels from the Atlantic Ocean 2,300 miles away. I still find it completely amazing that a huge ship can sail all the way to Minnesota from the East coast through lakes and canals. While we were there we got to see ships that had sailed from Norway and Baltimore, Maryland. We also spent some time in the Duluth Maritime Museum and saw some pretty neat models of ships and artifacts from shipwrecks on Lake Superior. Here’s some photos from our field day and some tattoos I’ve done lately, thanks for looking!

Great blog post. Did you go to the Accordion Museum on the same trip?!
