Happy New Year!

Happy 2015 everyone! New Year’s Day is one of my favorite holidays–I love setting goals and looking over what we’ve accomplished in the past year and what we hope to accomplish in the next. I’m really excited about everything this year brought–the Sea Wolf has stayed busy and has been an inspiring place to be, we welcomed our new coworker Ben Delano to the shop from Michigan, I canned A LOT of stuff and learned a lot of new things about canning, including how to use a pressure canner and how to can in weck jars, and I just found out this week my teacher thinks I’m ready to start training with the adult swim team! That’s something I haven’t written a lot about but I’ve been really excited about–I’ve been swimming nearly every day and taking lessons at the YWCA to improve my form in different strokes. I can’t wait to see what 2015 brings! We kept it pretty quiet this New Year’s eve, I think we fell asleep listening to the Serial podcast in bed with the dogs around 10:30, but there really isn’t anywhere I would rather have been. Happy New Year!

This is my dog Zephyr. He has to wear a sweater sometimes because he’s always cold and he has a skin condition. He doesn’t seem too concerned about it. Here’s some recent tattoos:
